Terms & Conditions
How our catalog, stringing requests and in-person service work. Your legal consumer rights always apply.

1. Richo Sports and these terms
Richo Sports provides badminton stringing and an online product catalog in Montreal, Quebec. Contact Richo at richo@bellnet.ca about a request, an existing job or these terms.
These terms explain use of the website and the conditions of our services. They do not remove rights under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act, the Civil Code of Québec or other applicable Canadian laws. Simply reading a policy does not give us unrestricted consent to use your personal information.
2. Catalog inquiries and purchases
The inquiry list lets you ask about products, quantities and a meeting. The website has no checkout, card processing or shipping service. Product availability, the agreed items, the total price and the hand-off arrangements are confirmed with Richo. A form receipt alone is not confirmation that stock has been reserved.
You can inspect merchandise when meeting Richo. Product descriptions, prices and any representations that form part of an agreement remain subject to applicable consumer law. A listing error does not give us an unrestricted right to change an agreed price or cancel a contract.
3. Requesting stringing
- Check the racket, string, main and cross tensions, pre-stretch, hand-off method and notes before submitting. Saved presets and serial lookup are conveniences; review any information they fill in.
- Choosing “Any” string colour authorizes Richo to choose the colour. Other changes to your requested string or setup require your agreement.
- For your own string, follow the instructions shown in the form: bring the required string or select the option confirming that your string is already with Richo. Tell Richo about visible damage, previous repairs or manufacturer tension limits so the work can be discussed before it begins.
- Use only the drop-off or pickup arrangement confirmed with Richo. Published away dates help you plan; queue updates and estimates are not a guaranteed completion time unless a date is expressly agreed.
- Contact Richo promptly to correct, change or cancel a request. The Refund Policy explains cancellations, service concerns and legal remedies.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. The stringing form shows the listed string-and-labour price, or labour only for your own string. Account discounts and any agreed adjustment are reflected in the job record. Applicable taxes and any mandatory charges must be disclosed before you agree to the total; additional work or charges require your agreement.
Payment arrangements may include cash, Interac e-Transfer or a monthly arrangement expressly agreed with Richo. This website records the payment method, amount and payment status; it does not collect card numbers or bank-login credentials.
Submitting a request does not require payment. For a contract concluded remotely, do not send an advance e-Transfer: payment for goods is made when supplied, and for stringing when the service is completed, subject to any lawful later-payment arrangement.
5. Agreements concluded remotely
A contract can be concluded remotely even when payment happens later or in person. Where Quebec’s distance-contract rules apply, you are entitled to the required merchant details, description, total price, taxes and charges, payment and performance terms, and cancellation information before agreeing, an opportunity to correct errors or decline, and a contract copy you can keep within 15 days after the contract is concluded.
Nothing on this website excludes those disclosure duties, legal cancellation rights or required refunds. Contact Richo before agreeing if a detail is missing or unclear. The absence of an online checkout does not remove these protections.
6. Accounts, communications and responsible use
Use accurate contact and racket details and an account you are authorized to use. Keep sign-in credentials private. Do not access another person’s records, interfere with the service, submit unlawful content or upload images you have no right to share.
Richo Sports provides registration and sign-in on Cloudflare. Sign in using a 6-digit email code, or a configured Google option. Existing members should use their original account email to retain access to their history. A Google account can be connected from Profile after signing in. Contact Richo at richo@bellnet.ca if you need help accessing your account.
Parents or tutors should manage requests for children under 14 rather than having them submit personal information themselves. Other minors should have the assistance and authorization required for their circumstances. The website does not verify age.
Service updates may be sent according to your account notification settings. Check your account or contact Richo if an expected update does not arrive. Turning off an optional update does not cancel the underlying job.
We may restrict misuse or unauthorized access as reasonably necessary to protect the service. This does not cancel our obligations for an existing job or remove your rights to your information or legal remedies.
Members with an unverified mobile number must complete the one-time phone check when prompted on a website visit; this is not a code required at every sign-in. Pickup texts are selected by default, can be declined in the verification form or turned off in Profile, and are sent only after number verification and confirmation of the choice. Turning notifications off does not cancel your account or stringing requests. Contact Richo if phone verification or text delivery prevents you from accessing a service.
7. Legal warranties, responsibility and disagreements
Goods remain covered by applicable legal warranties, including fitness for their ordinary purpose, reasonable durability and conformity with their description. Service obligations and your remedies for deficient work also remain in force. A manufacturer’s warranty does not replace your rights against Richo Sports.
Contact Richo with the job reference or purchase details and the problem so it can be assessed. These terms do not exclude liability that the law prohibits excluding, cap your compensation at the purchase price, force arbitration or prevent you from using a competent court or regulator.
Quebec law and applicable Canadian law govern, without depriving you of mandatory protections that otherwise apply.
8. Content, languages and updates
Website text, branding and images belong to their respective owners or are used with permission. You may use the site for its intended purposes and as otherwise permitted by law; do not misrepresent affiliation or misuse protected content.
French, English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese versions are available through the language menu. French contractual information is available before an agreement. When the law requires delivery of a French contract and an express choice of another language, those requirements apply; these terms do not make the English version automatically prevail.
Changes are dated on this page. New wording does not retroactively change an existing agreement or authorize unilateral changes that the law prohibits. Material changes will be brought to affected customers’ attention as required.
